My Favorite Place in Utah...

Mom and Kimmy drove out to Utah at the end of August to move Kimmy back out to BYU. After church on August 29th, we got in the van and headed up Provo Canyon. Kimmy was enjoying the fresh mountain air through the van's sun roof!

On the way to Bald Mountain and Mirror Lake after you've gone through Kamas, there's a pull out on the left for the Upper Provo River Falls... and it is probably my very favorite spot in Utah.

Kimmy and I left Mom reading at the main view point, shed our shoes by some rocks, and took off to explore the upper falls.

Climbing around the rocky river banks is quite the exercise!

Kimmy tried sleeping on this "Ariel" rock... but rocks don't make good beds. So she went and found a place to sit in the middle of the river instead.

This really is one of my favorite places. It's so pretty, and with all the rain this summer, the river was running much higher than it has in years past when we've been there.

Kimmy got treed.

Pictures can't really capture the beauty of the place, and definitely won't relay the serentiy of it either... but it really is the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

  2. Note that there are no pictures of Mom... Not that I'm all that photogenic. :o( Anyway... it was a good day. The only thing that would have made it better is if ALL of our family had been with us. :o)
